Hydrotherapy

Previously known as hydropathy this is an alternative medicine which uses water for pain relief and to assist with treatments such as Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy. Pools, whirlpools, hot tubs and tanks are used for soothing and treating certain conditions.

Practitioners administering Hydrotherapy require specialist knowledge to ensure the therapy is safe and effective. Typically, professionals administering hydrotherapy are fully qualified and HCPC registered Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who specialise in Hydrotherapy.
